The Carriage House Inn is set in the historic Shaver house built in 1898 by Judge Benjamin Shaver. Benjamin Shaver was the son of the famous Confederate hero; Fighting Colonel Shaver. Later it was bought by Dr. Redman and became the first hospital in Mena, Arkansas. Later it was converted to apartments until it was bought by the Vacca Family and converted into an Inn. The house was originally built with a water well, and horse and carriage house and surrounded by an orchard. The Carriage House in is nestled in the Ouachita Mountains in Mena, Arkansas.

This fully renovated 1900 colonial home is the perfect place for a comfortable stay in Mena. From the time you enter the circle driveway until you gaze down the side yard to the magnificent veranda and Sassafras trees, you will want to come inside and stay. The loft is a fully furnished 2 bedroom 1 bathroom nightly rental located just off the main street in beautiful downtown Mena. The loft has a large master suite with a king size bed, fireplace, sitting area and a beautiful view of the mountains. There is a queen size bed in the second bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and a large island with an eat at bar. There is a dining area with table and chairs that seat four. The living area is quite spacious with a fireplace and large TV and there are nice views throughout the loft. The loft also includes a washer and dryer.
